3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

Tree-Search-Based Any-Time Time-Optimal Path-Constrained Trajectory Planning With Inadmissible Island Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Time-optimal path-constrained trajectory planning is of significant importance for enhancing the work efficiency of robotic systems. In particular, when inadmissible island constraints are considered, existing approaches are typically offline.

The Gibbs-Thomson formula at small island sizes - corrections for high vapour densities

open access: yes, 1996
In this paper we report simulation studies of equilibrium features, namely circular islands on model surfaces, using Monte-Carlo methods. In particular, we are interested in studying the relationship between the density of vapour around a curved island ...

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Extraction from Adjunct Islands in Swedish

open access: yesNorsk Lingvistisk Tidsskrift, 2017
This paper investigates restrictions on the reported possibility to extract from adjunct clauses in Swedish. I report results from an acceptability judgement study showing that extraction is constrained by the following factors: (i) the degree of ...

Reassessing L2 sensitivity to island constraints: asymmetries between wh-islands and adjunct-islands

open access: yesFrontiers in Language Sciences
This study investigates Korean L2 speakers' sensitivity to English island constraints, focusing on the widely reported—but theoretically puzzling—asymmetry between wh/whether-islands and adjunct-islands. Using a factorial definition of island effects, we

Controlled islanding strategy considering power system restoration constraints [PDF]

open access: yes2012 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting, 2012
This paper proposes a methodology to split the power system across the weak areas of the network affected by a large disturbance, which might lead to a total system blackout. The final splitting strategy is carried out by opening the transmission lines with minimum power exchanged, i.e. by minimising the power exchange between areas.

Wh-questions and extraction asymmetries in Malagasy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The languages of the world differ with respect to argument extraction possibilities. In languages such as English, wh-movement is possible from Spec IP and from the complement position, whereas in languages such as Malagasy only extraction from Spec IP ...
