Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Liposuction for Fat Transfer: The “Island Technique”
The material harvested during liposuction is discarded but the fat used for fat grafting must be preserved and not polluted by the products used for tumescent anaesthesia. The “Island technique” used for decades during the FAMI procedure (Fat autografting Muscle Injection), provides samples of fat which had no or little contact with the lidocaine.

Studying Islands: On Whose Terms? Some Epistemological and Methodological Challenges to the Pursuit of Island Studies [PDF]
The pursuit of nissology, or island studies, calls for a re-centering of focus from mainland to island, away from the discourse of conquest of mainlanders, giving voice and platform for the expression of island narratives. Yet, studying islands ‘on their

Microstructural evolution of premium rail steel during flash butt welding (FBW), comparing physically simulated heat‐affected zones with actual weld regions. Thermal cycles induce phase transformations and microstructural heterogeneity that influence weld quality and mechanical performance. These findings provide insights into optimizing FBW parameters

Tracking Battery Microstructural Degradation Through Directional Thermal Transport Signatures
In lithium‐ion batteries, heat conduction varies between the through‐plane and in‐plane directions because of the cell's layered structure. Therefore, cell degradation influences thermal conductivity in each direction uniquely due to detailed microstructural and compositional changes.

Kinetics‐Controlled Architecture of Binder‐Free Organic Electrodes for Enhanced Ion Transport
Pulse reverse electrodeposition controls nucleation and growth to create hierarchically porous Py‐derived oligomeric electrodes with enhanced ionic accessibility and reduced transport resistance. The resulting binder‐free architectures translate these transport advantages into practical sodium‐storage functionality.

USE OF ANVILS AND OTHER FEEDING BEHAVIOUR OBSERVED IN CEBUS IMITATOR, COIBA ISLAND, PANAMA
Preliminary data of primate feeding behaviour on the continental island of Coiba was collected as a baseline study of feeding behaviour in Cebus imitatorat coastal sites. Coiba Island is located on the South Pacific side of Panama, in the Chiriquí Gulf.
