Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Power Quality Improvement for Mircrogrid in Islanded Mode
AbstractThe aim of this paper is to analyze and improve the power quality of island microgrid assuming that the distributed generators could meet the load active power requirement. The main power quality problems through analysis are the harmonics caused by power-electronic devices and voltage variation caused by high reactive power requirement.

Mechanically origami‐coded 3D kirigami photovoltaics convert a single extension–release cycle into deterministic self‐folding, reconfiguring planar solar cells into programmable 3D modules. Distinct coding strategies enable either ultrahigh stretchability (500% system strain) or ultrahigh initial effective areal coverage (225%).

Uniform monolayer Cr2Ge2Te6 films are achieved on Si substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Intrinsic ferromagnetism with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is established in the films by anomalous Hall effect and superconducting quantum interference device measurements, albeit with strong magnetic fluctuations characteristic of its 2D nature.

Distributed voltage control in an islanded microgrid system with uncertainties
In recent years, renewable energy sources are heavy relied upon to reduce carbon emission and reducing the cost of energy. A microgrid is a local energy grid which can be operated in both islanded and grid-connected mode.

Energy management of Micro grid in the island mode
The power management in micro grid (MG) is related to the planning of dispatchable sources such as diesel generator or storage devices due to the fluctuation of output power of renewable sources like wind and solar. In the island mode, to balance the power in the case of output changing from wind and solar sources, the control trategy such as ...
