Tropical and mid-latitude teleconnections interacting with the Indian summer monsoon rainfall: a theory-guided causal effect network approach [PDF]
The alternation of active and break phases in Indian summer monsoon (ISM) rainfall at intraseasonal timescales characterizes each ISM season. Both tropical and mid-latitude drivers influence this intraseasonal ISM variability.

Ram pressure stripping in elliptical galaxies: I. the impact of the interstellar medium turbulence
Elliptical galaxies contain X-ray emitting gas that is subject to continuous ram pressure stripping over timescales comparable to cluster ages. The gas in these galaxies is not in perfect hydrostatic equilibrium.

Radiation drag driven mass accretion in clumpy interstellar medium: implications for the supermassive black hole-to-bulge relation [PDF]
We quantitatively scrutinize the effects of the radiation drag arising from the radiation fields in a galactic bulge in order to examine the possibility that the radiation drag could be an effective mechanism to extract angular momentum in a spheroidal ...

Oxygen Metallicity Determinations from Optical Emission Lines in Early-type Galaxies
We measured the oxygen abundances of the warm (T$\sim 10^{4}K$) phase of gas in seven early-type galaxies through long-slit observations. A template spectra was constructed from galaxies void of warm gas and subtracted from the emission-line galaxies ...

Interstellar 12C/13C from CH+ absorption lines: Results from an extended survey
The 12C/13C isotope ratio in the interstellar medium (ISM), and its evolution with time, is an important tracer of stellar yields. Spatial variations of this ratio can be used to study mixing in the ISM.

Branding to create consumer value in the Iranian banking system [PDF]
Branding is emerging as a new form of customer-bank communication in order to compete and dominate the banking industry's marketing paradigm. This concept is very dynamic and, despite extensive research, has not yet been adequately explored.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
