HAPTEN-CARRIER RELATIONSHIPS OF ISOANTIGENS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1970
In chickens, erythrocyte isoantigens have hapten-carrier relationships. Specific anticarrier antibody depresses the immune response to the carrier and enhances the immune response to the hapten. Antigenic determinants of "haptenic" isoantigens behave as carriers if they are coated with specific antibody.

Adjuvant Activity of Erythrocyte Isoantigens

open access: yesScience, 1967
Erythrocyte isoantigens determined by the B blood-group locus of chickens enhance the immune response to weak isoantigens. This adjuvant action occurs if the antigens are present on the same erythrocyte, and the recipients are capable of responding immunologically to the B antigens.

IMMUNOGLOBULIN ISOANTIGENS (ALLOTYPES) IN THE MOUSE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1966
Summary Rabbits were immunized with either normal mouse immunoglobulins or isolated mouse myeloma proteins from BALB/c or (BALB/c × NZB)F1 plasma cell tumors. The antisera were tested for antibodies directed to allotypic antigenic specificities by the method of inhibition of precipitation of I125 labeled antigens.

NEW APPROACH TO TREATMENT OF ONCOLOGICAL DISEASES

open access: yesПедиатрическая фармакология, 2010
Oncological diseases are the second leading cause of deaths. Immune system disorders and enzymatic imbalances undoubtedly play a role in the development of tumors.

Human Pancreas-specific Isoantigens

open access: yesNature, 1964
PANCREAS-SPECIFIC isoantigens have been detected in rabbits1 and rhesus monkeys2 following experimental isoimmunization. It has also been reported that isoantibodies and autoantibodies occur in the sera of patients with various types of pancreatic disease3–5. Attempts were made in this laboratory to confirm the findings in man using the same techniques

Isoantigens available to circulating antibodies.

open access: yesThe Journal of Immunology, 1969
Summary Further studies on the availability of mouse DBA/2 isoantigens to circulating antibodies were made. Isoantibodies isolated from multiparous C57BL females (by DBA/2 males) exhibited in vivo localization in tissues of DBA/2 mice.

Identification of sperm immunoreactive antigens for immunocontraceptive purposes: a review

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2004
Antisperm antibodies (ASA) may be a reason of infertility in some individuals. They may affect pre- as well as post-fertilization stages of the reproductive process.

Availability of isoantigens to circulating antibodies.

open access: yesThe Journal of Immunology, 1968
Summary Iodinated and purified C57BL/6 anti-DBA/2 isoantibodies have been shown to exhibit in vivo localization in organs of DBA/2 mice when injected. Lung, spleen and liver fixed large proportions of the injected antibodies while kidney, thymus, lymph nodes, and heart did not fix large amounts of isoantibodies.
