Centers and isochronous centers of a class of quasi-analytic switching systems

open access: yesScience China Mathematics, 2018
In this paper, we study the integrability and linearization of a class of quadratic quasi-analytic switching systems. We improve an existing method to compute the focus values and periodic constants of quasi-analytic switching systems. In particular, with our method, we demonstrate that the dynamical behaviors of quasi-analytic switching systems are ...

Fracture evolution of a thick soft protection layer and the water inrush mechanism in overburden under longwall mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Through shear–tensile creep tests and viscoelastic modeling, the fracture evolution of thick soft protective layers is clarified. Results show thickness‐dependent rheological failure modes that govern four types of roof water inrush, providing a mechanism‐based framework for hazard prediction and control. Abstract In the Jurassic coal‐bearing strata of

Anisotropic NMR as a Crucial Tool for Differentiation of Epimers With High Conformational Flexibility

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 30, 20 July 2026.
Epimer discrimination remains challenging due to subtle NMR differences. Here, we propose a methodology based on 13C‐RCSA and RDC anisotropic parameters, enabling the assignment of two flexible tetraprenyltoluquinol epimers (1a and 1b) with remote stereoclusters.

Mechanical and Dielectric Properties of Epoxy Resin Composites Filled With Whole‐Panel Waste From First and Second Generation End‐of‐Life Photovoltaic Panels

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
End‐of‐life photovoltaic (PV) panels are reduced into fine particles and incorporated into epoxy composites, enabling sustainable energy‐storage materials with enhanced dielectric performance. The resulting composites achieve up to 25% increased energy storage capacity at 30°C and up to 45× improvement at elevated temperatures, promoting low‐cost ...

Centers and Isochronous Centers for Two Classes of Generalized Seventh and Ninth Systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Dynamics and Differential Equations, 2010
We classify new classes of centers and of isochronous centers for polynomial differential systems in R2 of arbitrary odd degree d ≥ 7 that in complex notation z = x + iy can be written as z˙=(λ+i)z+(zz)d-7-2j/2 (Az5+jz2+j+Bz4+jz3+j+Cz3+jz4+j+Dz7+2j), where j is either 0 or 1, λ ∈ R and A,B,C ∈ C. Note that if j = 0 and d = 7 we obtain a special case of

Rounded Monodisperse Fluorescent Nanodiamonds

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Nanodiamond (ND) shape control using rapid molten‐nitrate etching is studied as a scale‐up method for monodispersed rounded particles. Optimal etching condition (567°C for 6 min) yields NDs with atomically stepped surfaces and reduced sp2 content. Compared to angular control, rounded NDs exhibit an increased proportion of luminescent particles (66% vs.

Temporal and Spatial Organization in Collaborative Work by Nurses in an Emergency and Critical Care Center

open access: yesSymbolic Interaction, EarlyView.
This study describes the work at an emergency and critical care center, focusing on the collaboration of multiple nurses when moving patients from the outpatient department to the ward. This study is an ethnomethodological ethnography based on fieldwork at a hospital and analysis of video data. The patient transport process is temporally organized into

Isochronicity of centers in a switching Bautin system

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2012
Isochronicity of centers for a class of discontinuous differential system, simply called switching system, is discussed. Some sufficient conditions for the system to have a regular isochronous center at the origin are given and a switching system with an irregular isochronous center at the origin is constructed.

Invasive Assessment of Right Ventricular Dysfunction Predicts Periprocedural Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Unplanned Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
Displays bar graphs showing outcome rates stratified by clinical and hemodynamic variables. Asterisks (*) denote statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05). “NS” indicates non‐significant comparisons. Percentages are shown above each bar. The top panel corresponds to acute kidney injury (blue bars), and the bottom panel corresponds to acute ...
