Loess in Aotearoa New Zealand (ANZ) has been studied since its first documented recognition (on Banks Peninsula) in 1878 by Julius von Haast. A decade later, John Hardcastle revealed that southern ANZ loess was both glacial in origin and contained signals of past climates.

Isochronous centers of Lienard type equations and applications
In this work we study the equation $(E) \ddot x + f(x) \dot x^2 + g(x) = 0$ with a center at 0 and investigate conditions of its isochronicity. When $f$ and $g$ are analytic (not necessary odd) a necessary and sufficient condition for the isochronicity of 0 is given.
