A Roadmap for Biomass‐Driven Development of Sustainable Phase Change Materials

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review advances the scientific understanding of sustainability and circularity in phase change material (PCM) fabrication by providing a strategic framework for developing composites from abundant, renewable resources. By screening biomass‐derived PCMs, carbons, and biopolymers, a roadmap is outlined for the development of ...

Solvation chemistry in liquid electrolytes for rechargeable lithium batteries at low temperatures

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review discusses the solvation chemistry of the electrolyte in lithium batteries (LBs) at low temperature (LT). It highlights the Li+ solvation chemistry in LBs at LT, including the properties of the solvent, the solvation structure of Li+, strategies of tuning solvation chemistry via solvents/lithium salts, and characterization techniques of ...

Plasma metabolomics identifies signatures that distinguish heart failure with reduced and preserved ejection fraction

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims Two general phenotypes of heart failure (HF) are recognized: HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and with preserved EF (HFpEF). To develop phenotype‐specific approaches to treatment, distinguishing biomarkers are needed. The goal of this study was to utilize quantitative metabolomics on a large, diverse population to replicate and ...

Stabilities and Limitations in the Reactivity of Phosphorus Ylide‐Based Aluminum‐ and Gallium‐Carbon Ambiphiles − A Combined Experimental and Computational Approach

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
The unexpected reactivity and stability limits of phosphorus ylide‐based aluminum‐ and gallium‐carbon ambiphiles are described. While the previously published t‐butyl‐substituted compound (2‐{AltBu2}‐C6H4)Ph2PCMe2 (1tBu) reactsreversibly with NH3 at room temperature with cleavage of a N–H bond, the reaction with MeNH2 is much less favourable and ...

Synthetic Methods of Propylene Carbonate and Research Progress

open access: yesTo Chemistry Journal, 2018
Polyurethane is an important polymer material, but its raw material, isocyanate, is toxic, which caused the inconvenience for the production and transportation, in order to solve the problem of toxic material, a green synthetic method of non-isocyanurate

Reactivity of an Ortho‐Phenylene‐Bridged Al/P Frustrated Lewis Pair toward Small Molecules

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The first mono ortho‐phenylene‐bridged Al/P frustrated Lewis pair (FLP) is synthesized and characterized. Its reactivity is probed against several small molecules. Furthermore, a suitable entry point for generating other Al/C‐based FLPs starting from the Al/P‐based title compound is identified.
