Zinc Hydride Catalyzed Chemoselective Hydroboration of Isocyanates: Amide Bond Formation and C=O Bond Cleavage.

Angewandte Chemie, 2021
Herein, a remarkable conjugated bis-guanidinate (CBG) supported zinc hydride, [{LZnH}2; L = {(ArHN)(ArN)-C=N-C=(NAr)(NHAr); Ar = 2,6-Et2-C6H3}] (I) catalyzed partial reduction of heteroallenes via hydroboration is reported.

Isocyanates

Dermatitis, 2012
Owing to the widespread use of isocyanate-derived products across multiple industries, it is important for physicians to be aware of their sensitizing potential. We first provide a general overview of isocyanates and the industries that may be associated with exposure to these compounds.

Rhodium-Catalyzed Synthesis of Amides from Functionalized Blocked Isocyanates

ACS Catalysis, 2019
Isocyanates are useful building blocks for the synthesis of amides, although their widespread use has been limited by their high reactivity, which often results in poor functional group tolerance and a propensity to oligomerize.

Rhodium(III)-Catalyzed C(sp3)-H Bond Aminocarbonylation with Isocyanates.

Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2018
Rh(III)-catalyzed C(sp3)-H bond aminocarbonylation of 8-methylquinolines and isocyanates has been realized under mild conditions. This approach is applicable to different aryl and alkyl isocyanates, leading to the synthesis of various α-quinolinyl amide ...

The reaction of isocyanates and isocyanates with bisulphite salts

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1976
Organic isocyanates and isothiocyanates readily add bisulphite to form N-substituted aminooxomethanesulphonic acid salts (2), and the thioxo analogues respectively. As aryl isocyanates react rapidly with water, it is convenient to use triethylammonium bisulphite in an aprotic solvent for the addition.

Alkyl Isocyanates via Manganese-Catalyzed C-H Activation for the Preparation of Substituted Ureas.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017
Organic isocyanates are versatile intermediates that provide access to a wide range of functionalities. In this work, we have developed the first synthetic method for preparing aliphatic isocyanates via direct C-H activation.

Tetraarylphosphonium Salt-Catalyzed Synthesis of Oxazolidinones from Isocyanates and Epoxides.

Organic Letters, 2017
Preparation of a range of oxazolidinones, including enantioenriched N-aryl-substituted oxazolidinones, in which tetraarylphosphonium salts (TAPS) catalyze the [3 + 2] coupling reaction of isocyanates and epoxides effectively, is described.

WORKERS' EXPOSURE TO ISOCYANATES

American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1992
A model of exposure to isocyanates, based on knowledge of industrial processes and starting materials and the results of industrial hygiene surveys, is proposed. This model of exposure suggests the concentration and physical form of airborne isocyanate monomers and oligomers.
