Leveraging digital soil maps and clustering techniques to enhance soil management zone delineation

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 117, Issue 6, November/December 2025.
Abstract Management zone (MZ) or variability zone delineation is a critical component of precision agriculture (PA), enabling site‐specific management to optimize crop production and resource efficiency in response to within‐field variability. This study evaluated whether digital soil maps (DSM or continuous soil property prediction maps) can serve as ...

Fuzzy and isodata classification of landform elements from digital terrain data in Pleasant Valley, Wisconsin

open access: yes, 1997
Numerical classification methods may provide an alternative to manual landform delineation using aerial photographs, a subjective process that requires much knowledge of the landscape in question.

Concrete Dam Displacement Prediction Based on an ISODATA-GMM Clustering and Random Coefficient Model

open access: yes, 2019
Displacement data modelling is of great importance for the safety control of concrete dams. The commonly used artificial intelligence method modelled the displacement data at each monitoring point individually, i.e., the data correlations between the ...

High‐Speed Atomic Force Microscopy Reveals the Dynamic Interplay of Membrane Proteins is Lipid‐Modulated

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 5, Issue 9, September 2025.
High‐speed atomic force microscopy captures the lipid‐dependent clustering dynamics of pentameric FocA and tetrameric GlpF in supported lipid bilayers. Protein mobility, cluster stability, and packing geometry vary with lipid composition, revealing how membrane environments regulate supramolecular membrane protein organization.

Nanoparticle‐Coated X2CrNiMo17‐12‐2 Powder for Additive Manufacturing—Part II: Processability by Powder Bed Fusion of Metals Using a Laser Beam

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 14, July 2025.
In this manuscript, the processability of X2CrNiMo17‐12‐2 powder coated with silicon carbide, silicon, and silicon nitride nanoparticles is investigated. The amount of nanoparticles varies from 0.25 to 1 vol%. By coating the powder feedstock material with nanoparticles, an enlargement of the process window and an increase in the build rate are achieved.

This figure presents DWI, T2WI-Chronic, ANN, and ISODATA maps for 3 different patients.

open access: yes, 2013
In ISODATA maps the lesions are clustered into 2 to 3 different signatures [from top to bottom: (5, 6, and 8), (2, 3, and 4), (3 and 4)]. Signature number indicates the chance of tissue recovery.
