Isokinetics and Exercise Science, 1996
A review is given of the possible sources of error to be found when using isokinetic measurement systems. These errors are associated with the subject on whom the measurements are being taken, the person conducting the measurement i.e. the therapist, and the machine itself. Examples of each are given as drawn from the authors own work.

Evaluation of Isokinetic Muscle Performance
Clinics in Sports Medicine, 1983The development and availability of isokinetic testing equipment, recording systems, and systems for computer analysis have improved the quality and quantity of information about specific skeletal muscle performance. The value of both isokinetic exercise and instrumentation designed to objectively record muscle performance characteristics is becoming ...

Isokinetic Evaluation Following Leg Injuries
The Physician and Sportsmedicine, 1978Isokinetic strength testing, an objective method of quantifying a muscle's dynamic strength throughout its range of motion, is useful for diagnosis and for determining when an athlete can return to competition after injury.

The hallmark of success in orthopaedic surgery is the quantification of functional results. As far as the patients are concerned, subjective evaluation still plays an important part in relation to relief of symptoms and disability and return to daily activities. Conditions of isokinetic knee flexion that enhance isokinetic knee extension.
Medicine and science in sports and exercise, 1990The results of two experiments are reported. The purpose of the initial investigation was to determine the effect of isokinetic knee flexion contraction intensity on subsequent knee extension contraction. Seven subjects performed ten isokinetic knee flexion-extension cycles at six isokinetic velocities under two antagonist contraction conditions.
