Isomers of Au8

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2007
Using newly developed correlation consistent basis sets for gold, the relative energies for the neutral Au8 geometric isomers have been re-evaluated and the vertical ionization potentials calculated. The results using the correlation consistent basis sets show that second-order Moller-Plesset perturbation theory calculations strongly favor nonplanar ...

An isomer of aldosterone

Journal of Steroid Biochemistry, 1981
Abstract In the presence of dilute alkali aldosterone undergoes rearrangement to form an isomeric substance which is shown to be 11β, 18:18,21-diepoxy-20,21-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one. The rearrangement is considered to include a tautomeric change of the side chain to produce a 20-hydroxy-21-aldehyde group which reacts with the C-18 hydroxyl group to ...

Network Constitutional Isomers

Macromolecules, 2023
Bottlebrush networks designed to be constitutional isomers of each other were synthesized for the first time. These network constitutional isomers (NCIs) have significantly different mechanical properties depending on their kinetic chain lengths (RK), which are controlled by the monomer-to-initiator ratio.

Isomer counting and isomer permutation representation

Chemical Physics Letters, 1996
Abstract A simple and safe approach for counting addition isomers or substitution isomers is described. This approach uses the concept of the isomer permutation representation. We obtain the isomer permutation representation directly by computing its characters, for which analytical formulae are presented.

The isomers of ionized ethane

Journal of Computational Chemistry, 1996
The previously reported 2Ag, 2A1g, and 2Bg states of ionized ethane are characterized at several levels of theory. The diborane-like 2Ag state, which gives rise to the observed ESR spectrum, is predicted by SCF and CCD calculations not to exist in a separate minimum from the 2A1g state formed by ionization of the C(SINGLE BOND)C bond.

Isomers in Fission Fragments

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2009
The structure of neutron-rich nuclei produced as secondary fission fragments was investigated using the EUROGAM and GAMMASPHERE ACS arrays, the LOHENGRIN fission-fragment mass separator and the FIFI fission-fragment identifier. Fission products were populated in spontaneous fission of 248Cm and 252Cf and in thermal neutron-induced fission of 233U ...

Isomers in iodine nuclei

Physical Review C, 1990
The feeding and decay patterns of isomers in odd-odd iodine nuclei, produced in heavy-ion fusion-evaporation reactions and separated by a recoil mass spectrometer, have been studied with the \ensuremath{\gamma}-ray spectroscopy technique. A new isomer in $^{116}\mathrm{I}$, fed by a known collective band, was identified and its half-life was measured ...

Separation of diisopropylnaphthalene isomers

Journal of Chromatography A, 2009
The separation of diisopropylnaphthalenes was reinvestigated. The application of GCxGC appears to be a clear and necessary improvement over the use of single column techniques, with a polar (CP-Wax-52) column as reference technique, and a non-polar (CP-Sil-8) column as an alternative. Both qualitative and quantitative separations of DIPN isomers showed

Enediyne Isomers of Tetraethynylethene

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2006
Three isomers of tetraethynylethene (1, C10H4) have been prepared by palladium-catalyzed Negishi coupling of a trimethylsilylbutadiynyl zinc reagent with a bromoalkene, followed by mild deprotection with potassium carbonate in methanol. The unsubstituted enynes, 3-ethynyloct-3-ene-1,5,7-triyne (2), trans-dec-5-ene-1,3,7,9-tetrayne (3), and cis-dec-5 ...

NUCLEAR SHAPE ISOMERS

Soviet Physics Uspekhi, 1972
Experimental and theoretical investigations of recent years point to the existence of a new type of isomerism of atomic nuclei, due to the strong difference between the shapes of the nuclei in the initial and final stages.
