NMR Assignments of Six Asymmetrical N-Nitrosamine Isomers Determined in an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient by DFT Calculations

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
N-nitrosamines, which are well-known pro-mutagens, are found in drugs, pickled food and tobacco. Therefore, controlling their concentrations is very important.

Optically distinguishable electronic spin isomers of a stable organic diradical

open access: yes, 2023
Herein, we demonstrate a model of electronic spin isomers, the electronic counterpart of nuclear spin isomers, by employing a through-space conjugated stable organic diradical. We investigated a benzotriazinyl radical dimer linked via triptycene skeleton.

Mass spectrometric isomer characterization of perfluorinated compounds in technical mixture, water and human blood [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Perfluorinated compounds (PFC) are special surfactants which have been used since the 1950s. Their detection in the environment started at the beginning of the 2000s.

Positional distribution of isomers of monoenoic fatty acids in animal glycerolipids

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1967
The distributions of the following monoenoic acids were determined [notation: (position of double bond)-(chain length): (no. of double bonds)]: 7-, 9-, and 11-16: 1; 7-, 9-, 11-, and 13-18:1 ; 9-, 11-, and 13-20:1 ; 9 + 11-22:1 and 13-22:1.

Synthesis of isomers of eugenol

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards Section A: Physics and Chemistry, 1963
In connection with an investigation of the correlation between structure and reactivity of eugenol isomers, o-eugenol, 3-allyl-2-methoxyphenol and chavibetol were synthesized. A five-step synthesis was found to be most suitable for the preparation of 3-allyl-2-methoxyphenol.

A sensitive and specific method for measurement of multiple retinoids in human serum with UHPLC-MS/MS

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2012
Retinol (vitamin A) circulates at 1–4 μM concentration and is easily measured in serum. However, retinol is biologically inactive. Its metabolite, retinoic acid (RA), is believed to be responsible for biological effects of vitamin A, and hence the ...

Benchmark Studies on the Isomerization Enthalpies for Interstellar Molecular Species

open access: yesJournal of Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences, 2023
With the well-established correlation between the relative stabilities of isomers and their interstellar abundances coupled with the prevalence of isomeric species among the interstellar molecular species, isomerization remains a plausible formation ...

Computer generation of isomers [PDF]

open access: yesComputers & Chemistry, 1982
Abstract A computer program is developed for the enumeration of the isomers of polysubstituted compounds with b1 subtituents of the type 1, b2 subtituents of the type 2,.…, bn subtituents of the type n. The procedure is illustrated with octahedral molecules containing 4 kinds of subtituents (such as F, Cl, Br, and I) and the isomers of polysubtituted

Microporous 3D Covalent Organic Frameworks for Liquid Chromatographic Separation of Xylene Isomers and Ethylbenzene.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2019
Microporous covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold great potential for small molecule separation but are yet challenging to design and synthesize. Here we report a framework interpenetration strategy to make microporous COFs for efficient separations of

Comonomer Isomers Result in Varied Optical Properties for Long Wavelength Infrared-Transmitting ORMOCHALC Polymers

open access: yes, 2023
Inverse vulcanization is a method by which sulfur is combined with comonomer molecules to develop stable materials termed organically modified chalcogenide (ORMOCHALC) polymers.
