PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN LATIHAN ISOMETRIK OTOT PLANTAR FLEKSOR TERHADAP AKTIVITAS OSTEOBLAST PADA PASIEN PASCA OPEN REDUCTION INTERNAL FIXATION FRAKTUR TIBIA

open access: yesJKS (Jurnal Kedokteran Syiah Kuala), 2015

The impact of bone channel entrance selection within the footprint region of the femoral anterior cruciate ligament on the achievement of near isometric ACL reconstruction in rabbits

open access: yesFrontiers in Surgery
IntroductionConstruction of an animal model of rabbit anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) near isometric reconstruction is a basic condition to study the patterns of graft stress and tendon to bone healing.

Isometric Euclidean submanifolds with isometric Gauss maps

open access: yesAnnali di Matematica Pura ed Applicata (1923 -)
We investigate isometric immersions $f\colon M^n\to\R^{n+2}$, $n\geq 3$, of Riemannian manifolds into Euclidean space with codimension two that admit isometric deformations that preserve the metric of the Gauss map. In precise terms, the preservation of the third fundamental form of the submanifold must be ensured throughout the deformation.

New craniodental materials of Falcarius utahensis (Theropoda: Therizinosauria) reveal patterns of intraspecific variation and cranial evolution in early coelurosaurians

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Despite documented ecomorphological shifts toward an herbivorous diet in several coelurosaurian lineages, the evolutionary tempo and mode of these changes remain poorly understood, hampered by sparse cranial materials for early representatives of major clades. This is particularly true for Therizinosauria, with representative crania best known

Effects of Contrast Potentiation on Endurance Performance and Cardiovascular Parameters in Elite Female Soccer Players

open access: yesPhysiologia
Background/Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the acute effect of isometric and plyometric combined activation prior to the endurance performance assessed with the 30-15 Intermittent Fitness Test (30-15 IFT) and cardiovascular ...

New techniques for old bones: Morphometric and diffeomorphometric analysis of the bony labyrinth of the Reilingen and Ehringsdorf Neandertals

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Neandertals are known to possess very distinctive traits in their bony labyrinth morphology, such as an inferiorly positioned posterior canal and a very low number of turns in the cochlea. Hence, the inner ear has been often used to assess the Neandertal status of fragmentary fossils.

Multi‐method analysis for the three‐dimensional reconstruction of muscle fascicles from DiceCT datasets

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Muscle architecture is a major determinant of muscle performance and, in mammalian lineages, has been correlated with both feeding ecology and locomotor behaviors. Over the past decade, contrast‐enhanced micro‐CT (DiceCT) has emerged as an alternative to traditional dissection‐based measurement.

Role of soft tissue and bone interactions in the developmental integration and modularity of the skull in neural crest‐specific gap junction alpha‐1 knockout mice

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The vertebrate skull is composed of bones derived from neural crest cells and mesoderm. The evolutionary capacity of the skull has been linked, in part, to the emergence of neural crest cells; however, this increased capacity for evolutionary change requires that variation within neural crest‐ and mesoderm‐derived bones remains partly ...

Acute Effects of a Multi-Ingredient Preworkout Supplement on Peak Torque and Muscle Excitation During an Isokinetic Fatigue Protocol

open access: yesSports
The primary purpose of this study was to examine the acute effects of a multi-ingredient preworkout supplement (MIPS) on isometric, concentric, and eccentric peak torque and electromyographic (EMG) responses of the leg extensors during a fatiguing ...
