An alternative approach to isometric exercise training prescription for cardiovascular health
Isometric exercise training (IET) effectively reduces resting blood pressure (BP). Traditionally, IET protocols use hand grip or leg extension exercise. IET using larger muscle mass may influence the rate and magnitude of BP reductions.

This work presents a robotic control method for human–robot collaborative assembly based on a biomechanics‐constrained digital human model. Reinforcement learning is used to generate physiologically plausible human motion trajectories, which are integrated into a virtual environment for robot control learning.

The role of haemodynamic stimulus in isometric exercise training: implications for cardiovascular adaptations [PDF]
The purpose of this thesis was to explore the role of exercise induced blood flow haemodynamics in thcardiovascular adaptations associated with isometric exercise training, with focus on resting blood pressure adjustment in normotensive participants ...

Introduction: In top-level football, clubs seek to identify young talent. This identification requires using tests to notably evaluate the lower-limb strength, which is a decisive physical quality in football performance. However, the tests used are not

Brain Activity During Unilateral Physical and Imagined Isometric Contractions
By convention, it is believed that the ipsilateral side of the body is controlled by the contralateral side of the brain. Past studies measuring brain activity primarily recorded changes before and after an intervention is performed on one side of the ...

A note on isometric immersions [PDF]
AbstractLet N be a complete connected Riemannian manifold with sectional curvatures bounded from below. Let M be a complete simply connected Riemannian manifold with sectional curvatures KM(σ)≤ −a2 (a ≥ 0) and with dimension < 2 dim N. Suppose that N is isometrically immersed in M and that its image lies in a closed ball of radius ρ. Then sup(KN(σ) −

3D‐Printing Aided Rapid Prototyping of Pretensioned Tensegrity Structures for Robotic Applications
Printing, injection molding, and assembly (PMA) is a method for rapid prototyping mesoscale, topologically complex, and tensioned tensegrity structures. In combination with PMA method, two mold design strategies: modular mold and compact channel layout, enable efficiency and scalability for tensegrity fabrication.
