Strength – isometric and dynamic testing
2018This chapter describes the strength and conditioning professional in establishing methods of assessing muscular strength. It examines the basic methods that can be used to assess muscular strength. The chapter proposes standardised methods for assessing muscular strength. It provides detailed information, the ability to create a force-time curve during

The Effect of Deep Heat on Isometric Strength
Physical Therapy, 1978The effect of a 20-minute treatment of short-wave diathermy on isometric strength of the quadriceps muscle group was studied in 12 subjects over a 2-hour period. The heat treatment caused an initial decrease in isometric strength followed by an increase 30 minutes after the heat was terminated.

Isokinetic, isometric and isotonic strength relationships.
Archives of physical medicine and rehabilitation, 1983Relationships among isokinetic, isometric and isotonic strength measurements in knee and elbow extension and flexion were examined in 16 young, healthy men. Isokinetic and isometric torque measurements were obtained from modified Cybex II apparatus. Isokinetic torque values were obtained at velocities of 36 degrees/sec, 108 degrees/sec, and 180 degrees/
