Isosteric heat of sorption of CO2 in poly(ethylene terephthalate)
Polymer, 1985Abstract Sorption isotherms for carbon dioxide in poly(ethylene terephthalate) have been measured at 35–55°C. The isotherms were measured gravimetrically on a Mettler Thermoanalyzer-1 from vacuum to 1 atmosphere. The sorption data were used to generate sorption isotherms from which the isosteric heat of sorption of CO2 in PET was determined.

Obtaining the isosteric sorption heat directly by sorption isotherm equations
Journal of Food Engineering, 2006Abstract The latent heat of vaporization of water in foodstuffs is an important factor for the design of drying equipments. The thermal properties can be calculated by equations that are derived directly from isotherm equations by the Clausius–Clapeyron thermodynamic theory.

Deduction of isosteric heats of adsorption from constant volume experiments
The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1979The isosteric heat of oxygen adsorption was calculated for 2:1, 1:1, and 2:3 bismuth molybdate by a modified Clausius-Clapeyron equation which accounted for the constraint imposed by a closed volume, and by a newly developed kinetic equation which described the pressure buildup as a function of time when the catalyst is depleted of oxygen by heating in

On the basic equation of sorption and the isosteric heat
Wood Science and Technology, 1991Precise derivations are given for the basic equation of sorption, -RT ln r = Δh -T Δs. and for the isosteric heat. The prefix Δ indicates the change from sorbed liquid to free liquid. The above basic equation is interpreted as an equilibrium moisture constant (emc) equation. It is shown how Δs/R varies with temperature under the assumption that Δh/l is

Sorption isosteric heat for some medicinal and aromatic plants
2019In this study, sorption isosteric heat for some medicinal and aromatic plants was determined by the application of the Clausius-Clapeyron equation to sorption isotherms. Above the moisture contents of 0.14 d.b., the latent heat of vaporization of free water is not significantly different from the sorption isosteric heats for peppermint, marjoram ...
