Evolution of interfacial dislocation network during anisothermal high-temperature creep of a nickel-based superalloy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The effect of thermal cycling creep on the dislocation networks at the γ/γ′ interfaces in the MC2 superalloy is investigated. Tensile creep tests were performed under thermal cycling and isothermal conditions at low stress (80 MPa) and high temperature ...

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Intramolecular Down‐ and Up‐Conversion in Dimeric Tetracene Complexes Centered via Platinum(II) and Palladium(II)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐tetracene dimeric complexes are synthesized through the pyridyl coordination to either Pt(II) or Pd(II). Photophysical properties are systematically compared as a function of the metal using steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy. The Pt(II) dimer exhibits efficient intramolecular singlet fission and subsequent intramolecular up‐conversion ...

Theoretical and numerical approaches of a plane, laminar and non-confined, impinging jet

open access: yesRevue des Énergies Renouvelables, 2015
We propose in this paper, a numerical study of a planar impacting jet flow. The flow is assumed isothermal, laminar and unconfined. The developed computer code is based on the finite volume method, which was used to discretize the N-S equations. The code

Formulation to Calculate Isothermal, Non-Newtonian Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Problems Using a Pressure Gradient Coordinate System and Its Verification by an Experimental Grease

open access: yesLubricants, 2021
This paper presents a formulation of point contact elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis for an isothermal, non-Newtonian flow. A coordinate system of the pressure gradient was employed herein. A Couette flow and a Poiseuille flow were considered along

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
