Non-Isothermal Oxidation Behaviors and Mechanisms of Ti-Al Intermetallic Compounds. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2019
Non-isothermal oxidation is one of the important issues for the safe application of Ti-Al alloys, so this study aimed to illustrate the non-isothermal oxidation behaviors and the corresponding mechanisms of a TiAl-based alloy in comparison with a Ti3Al ...

Isothermal Oxidation of Aluminized Coatings on High-Entropy Alloys [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy, 2016
The isothermal oxidation resistance of Al0.2Co1.5CrFeNi1.5Ti0.3 high-entropy alloy is analyzed and the microstructural evolution of the oxide layer is studied. The limited aluminum, about 3.6 at %, leads to the non-continuous alumina.

Non-isothermal oxidation of coal with Ce(NO3)3 and Cu(NO3)2 additives

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology, 2019
Non-isothermal oxidation of brown coal with 5 wt% of Cu(NO3)2, 5 wt% of Ce(NO3)3 and {2.5 wt% Cu(NO3)2 + 2.5 wt% Ce(NO3)3} additives was studied. The introduction of additives was carried out by an incipient wet impregnation method to ensure uniform ...

Isothermal Oxidation of a Ternary TiAl-Nb Alloy

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2001
The oxidation behavior of a ternary TiAl-Nb alloy having the composition of Ti-43Al-11Nb was studied in pure dry oxygen in the temperature range of 850 to 1100°C. The experiments were carried out using the Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) setup. The oxidation rates were essentially parabolic in the temperature range studied.
