Isothermal and cyclic oxidation of TiAl composites [PDF]

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique IV, 1993
Titanium Aluminide and TiAl matrix composites reinforced with alumina fibers (PRD166) were fabricated by powder metallurgy. During isothermal oxidation at 950 and 1070 °C, composites containing PRD166 fibers exhibited larger weight gains than monolithic TiAl; the composites showed evidence of oxidation along the perimeter of the fibers.

Isothermal Oxidation Kinetics of Iron Powders Under Vapor Atmosphere

open access: yesMetals
Semisteel is the byproduct of the titania slag smelting process of ilmenite concentrate with an electric furnace. To enhance the added value of semisteel, a centrifugal granulation–water curtain process was adopted to manufacture iron powders.

Isotherm and Kinetic Modeling of Strontium Adsorption on Graphene Oxide [PDF]

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
In this study, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized using Hummers method. The synthesized GO was characterized using field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) nitrogen adsorption.

Oxidation behavior of Al3BC3 powders at 800–1400 °C in ambient air

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
The non-isothermal and isothermal oxidation behavior of Al3BC3 powders at 800–1400 °C in the air was studied. The results revealed that the oxidation resistance of Al3BC3 powders was better than that of “Al8B4C7” powders.
