Isothermal oxidation of Ti–6Al–7Nb alloy

Vacuum, 2015
Abstract The properties of Ti–6Al–7Nb alloy oxidation in the temperature range from 500 to 800 °C, in various time periods between 20 min and 72 h, were examined. The rate of oxidation at temperatures of 600, 700 and 800 °C, determined on the basis of the weight gain, was described by a parabolic equation.

Study of Isothermal Oxidation Behavior of FGH91 Superalloy

Materials Science Forum, 2015
Oxidation behavior of FGH91 superalloy in air and the temperature range of 540 to 980 °C for period up to 100h has been studied. The results indicate that oxidation kinetics obeyed parabolic law, and the activation energy of oxidation was calculated to be 98.2 KJ/mol.

Isothermal Oxidation of P/M-TiAl Alloys

Materials Science Forum, 1997

Isothermal Oxidation of René N5 at 1150°C

Volume 6: Ceramics; Controls, Diagnostics, and Instrumentation; Education; Manufacturing Materials and Metallurgy, 2018
In this study, single crystal superalloy René N5 was exposed in air at 1150 °C for up to 16 hours to evaluate the alloy’s short-term oxidation behaviour and the potential for developing a no-bond coat TBC system. The results showed that after 1 hour of exposure, a three layered oxide developed on the surface, consisting of spinel, Ta-containing oxide ...

Isothermal Oxidation Kinetics of Artificial Magnetite Pellets

Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2018
In order to establish the kinetics of oxidation of artificial magnetite pellets, we comprehensively studied kinetics of the oxidation of artificial magnetite pellets from low temperature to high temperature using chemical analysis. The results show that when the oxidation temperature is below 1 073 K (800 °C), the reaction is controlled by the step of ...

Isothermal Compressibility of Deuterium Oxide at Various Temperatures

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1971
The isothermal compressibilities of deuterium oxide solutions have been measured from 5–65°K. The measurements were made by a piezometric technique from 1–34 bar and extrapolated to 1 atm. The results are briefly discussed and compared to the values for normal water.

Isothermal and Step Isothermal Oxidation of Copper-Containing Steels in Air at 980?1220C

Oxidation of Metals, 2005
The oxidation and copper enrichment behaviors of several copper-containing mild steels under isothermal and step-isothermal conditions at 980–1220°C in ambient air, and the effects of nickel additions, are examined. The oxidation kinetics for all steels does not obey the parabolic law because of the formation of blisters in the scale.
