Non-isothermal oxidation kinetics of nano-laminated Cr2AlC MAX phase
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2019A highly pure Cr2AlC MAX phase is prepared through the sintering method by varying the aluminum content. The non-isothermal oxidation kinetics of the Cr2AlC phase is examined through a TGA/DTA technique, at variable heating rates (10, 20, 30, 40 °C/min).

Isothermal oxidation behaviors of FeCoV and FeCoVNb alloys
Journal of Applied Physics, 2009The present study investigates the isothermal oxidation of two iron-cobalt based alloys at 500 °C for up to 5000 h. Both alloys exhibit crack-free oxide layers consist of a porosity-free iron rich outer layer and a solute rich inner layer populated with islands of solute oxides and porosities.

Modeling of TG curves of isothermal oxidation of graphite
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2008Abstract By thermogravimetric analysis technique, TG curves of isothermal oxidation of graphite were obtained and the curves of weight loss versus reduced time were also obtained. The trend of weight loss versus reduced time curves of oxidation of graphite for different temperatures is unified in the temperature range with identical oxidation ...

Isobaric and isothermal hysteresis in metal hydrides and oxides
Journal of the Chemical Society, Faraday Transactions 1: Physical Chemistry in Condensed Phases, 1986An analysis is presented of the thermodynamics of both isothermal and isobaric hysteresis, leading to equations for the calculation of the irreversible entropy production and the loss of free energy in hysteresis cycles of both kinds. The status of ‘apparent’ enthalpies derived from the temperature dependence of isothermal data is examined and two ...

Non-isothermal kinetic of oxidation of tungsten carbide
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2007Tungsten carbide, WC, has shown dissimilar thermal behavior when it is heated on changeable heating rate and flow of oxidant atmosphere. The oxidation of WC to WO3 tends to be in a single and slow kinetic step on slow heating rate and/or low flux of air.
