Hen feather: a bio-waste material for adsorptive removal of methyl red dye from aqueous solutions
This study investigates the potential applicability of hen feather (HF) to remove methyl red (MR) dye from aqueous solution with the variation of experimental conditions: contact time (1–180 min), pH (4–8), initial dye concentration (5–50 mg/L) and ...

Thermodynamic length in a 2-D thermodynamic state space
The main goal of this paper is to reach an explicit formulation and possible interpretation of thermodynamic length in a thermodynamic state space with two degrees of freedom. Using the energy and entropy metric in a general form, we get explicit results

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Copper adsorption in tropical oxisols
Cu adsorption, at concentrations between 0 to 800 mg L-1, was evaluated in surface and subsurface samples of three Brazilian soils: a heavy clayey-textured Rhodic Hapludalf (RH), a heavy clayey-textured Anionic ''Rhodic'' Acrudox (RA) and a medium ...

Bottom ash adsorption of basic dyes from their binary aqueous solutions [PDF]
The uses of low-cost adsorbent have been investigated as a replacement for the current expensive methods of removing dyes from aqueous solution. As such bottom ash is used as a low-cost adsorbent. The prepared adsorbent was characterized and used for the

Particle size effect on caking in sucrose : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters in Chemical Technology at Massey University [PDF]
Caking, and the associated loss of flowability, have for a long time been a problem in the sugar industry, causing difficulties during conveying and making the product unacceptable to consumers.
