Equilibrium Fractionation of Stable Strontium Isotopes During Adsorption to Mn Oxides

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems
Understanding the stable strontium isotope fractionation between seawater and ferromanganese crusts/nodules is crucial for reconstructing seawater Sr isotopic history.

Glucose Deprivation‐Driven Concurrent Induction of Apoptosis/Disulfidptosis/Ferroptosis by Tumor Targeting Nanoassemblies in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Innovative hybrid nanoassemblies installed with ferrocene, D‐α‐tocopherol succinate, and phloretin exploit the metabolic vulnerability of triple‐negative breast cancer under glucose starvation. By blocking glucose uptake, this single nanoplatform simultaneously orchestrates apoptosis, disulfidptosis, and ferroptosis to achieve synergistic and ...

The mass-dependence of cadmium isotope fractionation during evaporation

open access: yes, 2004
Mass fractionation laws relate the fractionation factor αA for one isotope ratio to the fractionation factor αB for a second isotope ratio of the same element, with a fractionation exponent β such that αA = αBβ. The exponent β defines the mass-dependence

Affinity‐Tuned Albumin Hitchhiking Extends the Bioorthogonal Capture Window in Pretargeting Radiotheranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Pharmacokinetic engineering of clickable radioligands was achieved via albumin hitchhiking approach within a pretargeted radiotheranostics delivery platform. This approach reduced rapid renal elimination, expanded bioorthogonal capture window, boosted tumor uptake by ∼3.5‐fold, and improved the tumor‐to‐liver ratio by ∼6‐fold.

Magnesium isotope fractionation during hydrous magnesium carbonate precipitation with and without cyanobacteria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The hydrous magnesium carbonates, nesquehonite (MgCO3·3H2O) and dypingite (Mg5(CO3)4(OH)2·5(H2O)), were precipitated at 25 °C in batch reactors from aqueous solutions containing 0.05 M NaHCO3 and 0.025 M MgCl2 and in the presence and absence of live ...

Molecular insights into the dynamic relationship between respiration rate and sulfur isotope effect

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology
Microbial sulfate reduction and its resulting sulfur isotope effects are crucial for understanding the past and present sulfur cycle. Microbial S-isotope effects have often been explained by their inverse correlation with the cell-specific sulfur ...

Sulfur Isotope Effects of Dissimilatory Sulfite Reductase

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2015
The precise interpretation of environmental sulfur isotope records requires a quantitative understanding of the biochemical controls on sulfur isotope fractionation by the principle isotope-fractionating process within the S cycle, microbial sulfate ...
