Detection of Testosterone Esters in Urine: Evidence of Trace‐Level Detectability in Doping Control Samples

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
An ultrasensitive LC‐MS/MS method for detecting testosterone esters (T‐esters) in urine at sub–pg/mL levels is presented. This approach, employing Girard P derivatization, provides the first evidence of T‐esters' trace‐level detectability in human urine.

Cannabidiol in Anorexia Nervosa: A Double‐Blind Randomized Placebo Controlled Pilot Study to Test Safety, Pharmacokinetics, and Symptom Change

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a severe psychiatric disorder marked by an intense fear of gaining weight and persistent body dissatisfaction, both during periods of underweight and after weight restoration. The endocannabinoid system may offer therapeutic benefits, particularly in reducing anxiety.

Mechanistic Investigation of Oxidation of Phenylpropanolamine with N-Bromobenzenesulfonamide in Alkaline Medium: A Kinetic Approach

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2008
The kinetics of oxidation of phenylpropanolamine (PPA) with sodium N-bromobenzenesulfonamide or bromamine-B (BAB) has been investigated in alkaline medium at 308 K. The oxidation reaction obeys the rate law, – d[BAB]/dt = k [BAB] [PPA]x [OH-], where x is

Deuterium retention in deposited W layer exposed to EAST deuterium plasma

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2017
The deposited W layers formed on the W plate by hydrogen plasma sputtering were exposed to deuterium plasma in EAST together with bare W plate. In TDS measurement, the deuterium release was clearly observed from the deposited W layer in addition to the ...

Polyoxometalates in Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction: Multielectron Redox Regulation Across Molecular and Hybrid Architectures

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review focuses on multielectron redox regulation across molecular and hybrid architectures for photocatalytic CO2 reduction, covering intrinsic POM photocatalysts, photosensitizer‐assisted assemblies, POM–metal–organic complexes, and POM‐integrated semiconductors and MOF/COF heterostructures to link structural motifs with charge transport, product

PondNet – towards a global network of experiments on the effects of climate change on aquatic ecosystems

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Global change is reshaping the distribution of biodiversity and the functioning of ecosystems. Predicting the long‐term consequences of such changes remains a challenge due to a need for a clear understanding of the mechanisms underpinning ecosystem‐level responses, as well as the role of geographical and environmental contingencies.

Synthesis of Global Soil‐Emitted N2O Isotopic Signatures: Geoclimatic Patterns and Influential Factors

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Nitrous oxide (N2O) is a potent greenhouse gas and major driver of stratospheric ozone depletion. Isotopic data constrain bottom‐up models, yet global natural‐abundance patterns remain poorly resolved.

Defective CeO2/Copper Phthalocyanine S‐Scheme Heterojunctions With Molecular Copper Centers for Selective CO2‐To‐CO Photoconversion

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
Defective CeO2/CuPc S‐scheme heterojunction featuring oxygen‐vacancy‐rich ceria nanorods and atomically dispersed Cu–N4 molecular centers. Built‐in electric field mediates efficient S‐scheme charge separation, accumulating strongly reductive electrons at copper sites for selective CO2‐to‐CO photoconversion (92.2% selectivity) via *COOH stabilization ...
