Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

Understanding Structural and Compositional Evolution during NMC Cathode Direct Recycling via Solid‐State NMR

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Direct recycling end‐of‐life lithium‐ion batteries (LIB) to recover high‐value cathode materials such as LiNixMnyCozO2 (NMC) requires method development and detailed characterization. In this work, the unique capabilities of solid‐state NMR in characterizing changes in local ordering within NMC cathode materials during recycling and upcycling as well ...

The Effect of Pore Functionality in Multicomponent Covalent Organic Frameworks on Stable Long‐Term Photocatalytic H2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Five COFs are synthesized through a multicomponent reaction, preserving a similar backbone while introducing varying pore functionalities. All COFs demonstrate excellent chemical stability and sustained H2 production under sunlight for 7‐15 days. The imidazole‐functionalized COF exhibits the highest H2 production, which can be attributed to its high ...
