Nitrogen isotopes link mycorrhizal fungi and plants to nitrogen dynamics [PDF]
SummaryIn this review, we synthesize field and culture studies of the 15N/14N (expressed as δ15N) of autotrophic plants, mycoheterotrophic plants, parasitic plants, soil, and mycorrhizal fungi to assess the major controls of isotopic patterns. One major control for plants and fungi is the partitioning of nitrogen (N) into either 15N‐depleted chitin ...

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

A nitrogen isotope study of bencubbinites [PDF]
Abstract— ‐Nitrogen‐isotopic compositions of the bencubbinites—Bencubbin, Hammadah al Hamra (HH) 237, and Queen Alexandra Range (QUE) 94411—and in a petrographically similar chondrite Grosvenor Mountains (GRO) 95551 were measured by stepped‐combustion static mass spectrometry. Hammadah al Hamra 237 and QUE 94411 contain isotopically heavy N, but not as

85Kr and 39Ar background in GENIUS
GENIUS is a proposal for a large scale detector of rare events like double beta decay, cold dark matter and low-energy solar neutrinos in real time. The idea of GENIUS is to operate a large amount of ``naked'' Ge detectors in liquid nitrogen, with the ...
