Upper Cervical Cord Area as a Biomarker of Conversion to Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Objective This study assessed whether upper cervical cord area (UCCA) measured on routine brain MRI can serve as a biomarker of conversion to SPMS. Methods This is a single‐center retrospective cohort study of RRMS patients with cross‐sectional and longitudinal analyses of clinical and MRI data. Future SPMS converters were matched by age, sex,

testing isotropy in spatial econometric models
Stationarity in space presents two aspects: homogeneity and isotropy. They correspond respectively to stationarity under translations and stationarity under rotations.

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.

Isotropy over function fields of Pfister forms [PDF]
The question of which quadratic forms become isotropic when extended to the function field of a given form is studied. A formula for the minimum dimension of the minimal isotropic forms associated to such extensions is given, and some consequences ...

A robust measure of event isotropy at colliders
We introduce a new event shape observable — event isotropy — that quantifies how close the radiation pattern of a collider event is to a uniform distribution.

Metabolic and Fluid Biomarkers Support Microglia Activation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is an incurable neurodegenerative disease involving motor neuron degeneration and metabolic and immune dysfunction. We combined clinical data, cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers and fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography with magnetic resonance imaging to investigate the role of reactive microglia in disease ...

Intrinsic Isotropy Subgroups of Finite Groups
This paper discusses general properties of intrinsic isotropy subgroups of finite groups, a notion recently introduced by the author, and motivated by the relevance of such subgroups in problems of bifurcation with symmetry.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.
