Recommendations for streamlining precision medicine in breast cancer care in Latin America
Abstract Background The incidence of breast cancer (BC) in LMICs has increased by more than 20% within the last decade. In areas such as Latin America (LA), addressing BC at national levels evoke discussions surrounding fragmented care, limited resources, and regulatory barriers.

Simulated model of RAPID concept: highlighting innate inflammation and liver regeneration
The mechanism of RAPID‐associated liver regeneration and its regulation remains unclear. A RAPID model in rats was developed involving cold ischaemia and reperfusion of the selected future liver remnant, portal vein ligation of the remaining segments during step I, and resection of the deportalized lobes during step II.

Effects of ventilation with different inspired oxygen concentrations and of allopurinol on lung ischaemia-reperfusion injury in rats [PDF]
BACKGROUND: To evaluate the effects on lung ischaemia-reperfusion injury of ventilation with inspired oxygen concentrations of 0.21 and 1.00, and of allopurinol (an antioxidant). METHODS: Sixty Wistar rats were randomly allocated to six groups.

Isquemia medular tras parada cardiaca [PDF]

Effect of oxygen‐producing suture material on hypoxic colonic anastomoses in an experimental model
Anastomotic leak remains a significant problem after colorectal surgery, and administration of supplemental perioperative oxygen has been shown to improve healing of colorectal anastomoses. The manufacture of an oxygen‐producing suture material is described; experiments showed that it improved some aspects of the healing of bowel anastomoses.
