A Dynamic Model of Career Choice Development
International Journal for Educational and Vocational Guidance, 2005a dynamic model for career choice development. At the centre of this model is the idea of arriving at a decision after a flexible and non-hierarchical development process. Some consideration is given to what is needed to test the model and on possible consequences for career guidance practice.

The Influence of Role Models on Women's Career Choices
The Career Development Quarterly, 2006This study of 368 female undergraduates examined self‐efficacy and role model influence as predictors of career choice across J. L. Holland's (1997) 6 RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional) types. Findings showed that levels of self‐efficacy and role model influence differed across Holland types.

The Pediatrician as a Role Model in the Career Choice of Medical Students
Pediatrics, 1990The results of the recent residency matching program revealed a decline in the number of US medical school graduates applying for positions in pediatric training programs. In 1987, 1366 graduating seniors, 10% of the graduating class, applied for 2009 PL 1 positions. In 1989, 1256, 9.3% of those graduating, applied for 2068 positions.
