The coordination of α‐methyl‐β‐amidoitaconate at Rh(I) diphosphine complexes is studied using a combination of high‐field and low‐field flow NMR spectroscopy and X‐ray analysis. In the presence of basic or acidic additives, the formation of neutral Rh(I) or Rh(III) complexes occurs.

Recently, we developed a unique microbial screening method based on the Mizoroki–Heck reaction for itaconic acid (IA)-producing fungi. This method revealed that 37 out of 240 fungal strains isolated from soils produce vinyl compounds, including IA.

Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Fully bio‐based, cellulose‐reinforced inks are developed to 3D print structures via UV‐assisted extrusion. The inks flow easily during printing and solidify rapidly under light, enabling stable shapes and improved performance. Post‐print treatment allows tuning of strength and stiffness, demonstrating a sustainable route toward functional, plant‐based ...

Metabolic Regulation of Macrophages in Health and Disease
Extracellular metabolites drive metabolic rewiring of glucose, lipid, and amino acid pathways in macrophages, steering their polarization toward pro‐ or anti‐inflammatory phenotypes and shaping a wide range of disease processes. Macrophages from different tissues display distinct metabolic signatures, and therapeutic strategies that target these ...

Integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis reveals the regulatory role of itaconic acid in inflammatory infiltration during myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury [PDF]
Background Inflammatory infiltration constitutes a fundamental pathophysiological mechanism in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury, characterized by its role in initiating tissue damage, amplifying pathological inflammatory cascades, and ...
