Lectotypifications and taxonomic changes in the holoparasitic Orobanchaceae
Based on further extensive studies of specimens in various herbaria, lectotypes are designated for many taxa of holoparasitic Orobanchaceae. In particular, 47 names in the genera Boschniakia (incl. Xylanche), Cistanche, Orobanche, Phelipanche and Phelypaea are lectotypified.

ABSTRACT Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma (PTC) is the most prevalent thyroid malignancy, and accurate lesion segmentation is essential for clinical diagnosis and treatment planning. Metaheuristic optimisation algorithms have been widely used in Multi‐Threshold Image Segmentation (MTIS), but many existing methods suffer from an imbalance between global ...

Iterative Algebras: How Iterative are They?
Summary: Iterative algebras, defined by the property that every guarded system of recursive equations has a unique solution, are proved to have a much stronger property: every system of recursive equations has a unique strict solution. Those systems that have a unique solution in every iterative algebra are characterized.

Threshold Currents of Vacuum Arcs With Tungsten and Copper Cathodes
ABSTRACT This paper presents the results of an experimental study aimed at determining the threshold current for triggering a vacuum arc discharge, the probability of arc ignition and the average arc operation time depending on the current for tungsten and copper electrodes.

Flap Anatomies and Victorian Veils: Penetrating the Female Reproductive Interior
ABSTRACT This article examines the reappearance in the early nineteenth century of anatomical flapbooks in the context of obstetrical education in Britain, America and France. It asks why liftable paper flaps were reintroduced at this time after their disappearance from medical atlases in the eighteenth century.

Physics conclusions in support of ITER W divertor monoblock shaping
The key remaining physics design issue for the ITER tungsten (W) divertor is the question of monoblock (MB) front surface shaping in the high heat flux target areas of the actively cooled targets. Engineering tolerance specifications impose a challenging
