Detection of Equatorial Plasma Bubbles Using the COSMIC‐2 Rate of TEC Index

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Equatorial plasma bubbles (EPBs) are large‐scale plasma depletion structures that can disrupt Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and other space‐based technologies. Several instruments have been employed to study EPB dynamics, with Total Electron Content (TEC) and Rate of TEC change Index (ROTI) data standing out as valuable parameters

Hcfc1 and Ogt Mediate Zebrafish CNS Regeneration Through Hippo/Yap Signalling

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 5, May 2026.
This work identifies Hcfc1 and Ogt as key regulators of zebrafish CNS regeneration through modulation of Hippo/Yap signalling. Loss of Hcfc1 or Ogt activity inhibition impairs regeneration, which is restored by Yap overexpression, revealing a new regulatory axis that enhances CNS regenerative capacity.

Improving glycaemic outcomes with subsidised access to diabetes technology in a young adult population with type 1 diabetes

open access: yesDiabetic Medicine, Volume 43, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Aims The availability of diabetes technologies has increased, although access can be limited for young people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). In Australia, access to subsidised continuous glucose monitors (CGM) has expanded significantly, while insulin pump access remains limited.
