2009This chapter analyzes how transnational commercial law is determined, interpreted, and applied by national judges. For these purposes, this chapter discusses the relationship between “national domestic law” and “international law” on the one hand and the relationship between “civil law” and “commercial law” on the other.

Man beginnt damit, die grose Tradition der Universitat zu ruhmen, an der man sprechen soll, und man verneigt sich dann ehrfurchtig vor den Leistungen des Fachkollegen, der die Muhen eines Gastgebers auf sich genommen hat.
