The J-TEXT Tokamak Control System

2009 International Conference on Electronic Computer Technology, 2009
The J-TEXT tokamak is a complex experiment facility. Its running refers many subsystems, such as various power supply systems, a gas puffing system, many diagnostic systems, a safety protection system, etc. So it asks for a control system to manage the process of discharge.

The new control system of J-TEXT divertor power supply system using J-TEXT real-time framework

Fusion Engineering and Design, 2016
Abstract The J-TEXT divertor power supply system is designed as a parallel connection, 12-pulse rectifier which is powered by a 100 MVA pulse generator unit. To achieve robust current feedback control, high performance real-time control system is required.

Divertor Power Supply System for J-TEXT

Journal of Fusion Energy, 2014
J-TEXT, formerly known as TEXT-U, has been under reconstruction since 2004. Recently the J-TEXT team is reconstructing the divertor system by developing a new divertor power supply system, which provides 400 V/25 kA bipolar dc output in 0.5 s. This power supply system features pulsed power applications on the 12-pulse power converter design.

The microwave interferometer on J-TEXT tokamak

2008 8th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory, 2008
A 2 mm microwave interferometer is developed to measure plasma electron density for the J-TEXT tokamak. The interferometer views the plasma vertically through a set of large diagnostic ports and the system is configured as a frequency-modulated interferometer. The interferometer routinely provides real-time feedback control for the gas injection system.

Plasma equilibrium calculation in J-TEXT tokamak

Plasma Science and Technology, 2017
Plasma equilibrium has been calculated using an analytical method. The plasma profiles of the current density, safety factor, pressure and magnetic surface function are obtained. The analytical solution of the Grad–Shafranov (GS) equation is obtained by the variable separation method and compared with the computed results of the equilibrium fitting ...

Upgrade of absolute extreme ultraviolet diagnostic on J-TEXT

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2014
The absolute extreme ultraviolet (AXUV) diagnostic system is used for radiation observation on J-TEXT tokamak [J. Zhang, G. Zhuang, Z. J. Wang, Y. H. Ding, X. Q. Zhang, and Y. J. Tang, Rev. Sci. Instrum. 81, 073509 (2010)]. The upgrade of the AXUV system is aimed to improve the spatial resolution and provide a three-dimensional image on J-TEXT. The new

Measurement of diagnostic neutral beam parameters on J-TEXT

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2016
A Doppler frequency shift spectrum (DFSS) system composed of two spectrometers has been developed for the joint Texas experimental tokamak to measure diagnostic neutral beam parameters including the beam energy fractions, intensity distributions, and divergences.

Real-time fast controller prototype for J-TEXT tokamak

2012 18th IEEE-NPSS Real Time Conference, 2012
The operation of a tokamak device is highly sophisticated, which usually requires high performance real-time controllers. The ITER Control, Data Access and Communication (CODAC) team has made standards for Fast Controller (FC). Following the ITER CODAC standards we have designed the real-time FC (RTFC) prototype for J-TEXT.RTFC represents a general ...

Vertical fast electron bremsstrahlung diagnostic on J-TEXT tokamak

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2018
Fast electron bremsstrahlung (FEB) emission during Ohmic discharge experiments on the Joint Texas Experimental Tokamak (J-TEXT) has been measured by a recently developed vertical multi-channel FEB diagnostic based on CdZnTe detectors. There are 5 sight lines to observe the vertical emission of fast electrons at the high-field side with a spatial ...

Realization of divertor configuration discharge in J-TEXT tokamak

Plasma Science and Technology, 2022
Abstract To extend the operation region of the Joint-Texas Experimental tokamak (J-TEXT) to the divertor configuration and even the H-mode, the divertor configuration discharge has been realized for the first time in the J-TEXT tokamak.
