Exceptional quantum geometry and particle physics II

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
We continue the study undertaken in [13] of the relevance of the exceptional Jordan algebra J38 of hermitian 3×3 octonionic matrices for the description of the internal space of the fundamental fermions of the Standard Model with 3 generations.

Cytological evaluation, culture and genomics to evaluate the microbiome in healthy rabbit external ear canals

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 35, Issue 5, Page 479-491, October 2024.
Background – Lop‐eared rabbits may be predisposed to otitis externa (OE) as a consequence of their ear conformation. Although otoscopy, otic cytological evaluation, and culture are valuable tools in dogs and cats, published data on rabbits remain lacking. Hypothesis/Objectives – This study aimed to assess the utility of otoscopy and cytological results

Time‐domain harmonic source location and evaluation methods based on non‐linear and time‐varying properties of devices

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 18, Issue 16, Page 2604-2624, August 2024.
The essential factor for generating harmonics is non‐linear characteristic or time‐varying property. Therefore, the harmonic generation mechanism and the harmonic source location method are investigated from the time domain perspective in this paper.

Preliminary evaluation of a commercial shampoo and fine bubble bathing in the treatment of canine atopic dermatitis: A single‐blinded, randomised, controlled study

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 35, Issue 4, Page 400-407, August 2024.
Background – Fine bubble (FB) bathing has shown benefits on a mouse model of atopic dermatitis (AD). However, its efficacy in dogs with AD remains to be evaluated. Objective – This study aimed to assess the clinical effectiveness of FB bathing in dogs with AD.

The Magnetic Field from Cylindrical Arc Coils and Magnets: A Compendium with New Analytic Solutions for Radial Magnetization and Azimuthal Current

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 3, Issue 7, July 2024.
This study provides analytic solutions for the magnetic field of coils and magnets that have a non‐axisymmetric cylindrical geometry with a rectangular cross‐section. The equations can be readily applied to find the magnetostatic field in linear or non‐linear systems that contain a large set of elements.

A chromosome‐scale assembly of Brassica carinata (BBCC) accession HC20 containing resistance to multiple pathogens and an early generation assessment of introgressions into B. juncea (AABB)

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 119, Issue 2, Page 762-782, July 2024.
SUMMARY Brassica carinata (BBCC) commonly referred to as Ethiopian mustard is a natural allotetraploid containing the genomes of Brassica nigra (BB) and Brassica oleracea (CC). It is an oilseed crop endemic to the northeastern regions of Africa. Although it is under limited cultivation, B. carinata is valuable as it is resistant/highly tolerant to most
