Changes in Abundance and Distribution of the Sea Pen, Funiculina quadrangularis, in the Central Adriatic Sea (Mediterranean Basin) in Response to Variations in Trawling Intensity

open access: yesFishes, 2023
Marine resources exploitation through bottom trawling affects marine ecosystems; thus, management should consider the presence of sensitive species as ecosystem health indicators.

Interakcijski odnosi ispitivanih sorata jabuke jonagold i greni smit, primjenjenih doza đubriva i različitih rokova primjene na ostvareni kalo

open access: yesGlasnik Šumarskog Fakulteta Univerziteta u Banjoj Luci, 2004

A new vision of the Adriatic Dense Water future under extreme warming [PDF]

open access: yesOcean Science
We use the Adriatic Sea and Coast (AdriSC) kilometer-scale atmosphere–ocean model to assess the impact of a far-future extreme-warming scenario on the formation, spreading, and accumulation of North Adriatic Dense Water (NAddW) over the entire basin ...

Metal deposition in deep sediments from the Central and South Adriatic Sea

open access: yesGeologia Croatica, 2014
Geochemical analysis and trace element distribution were performed on the marine sediments from short cores (30 to 50 cm) from the Middle (Jabuka and Palagruža pits, depth 230 m and 170 m respectively) and South Adriatic Sea (depth 1030 m) and the ...

Jabuka Island in the notes of Adriatic Sea travelers from 14th to 17th century – name and shape

open access: yesGeoadria, 2015
By surface area Jabuka is one of the smallest islands in the Adriatic Sea. It was noted for the first time in nautical charts at the beginning of the 14th century, and due to its recognizable shape mapped by almost all portolan and nautical chart makers.

Heegaard Floer groups of Dehn surgeries

open access: yes, 2014
We use an algorithm by Ozsvath and Szabo to find closed formulae for the ranks of the hat version of the Heegaard Floer homology groups for non-zero Dehn surgeries on knots in the 3-sphere.

Product Formulae for Ozsvath-Szabo 4-manifold Invariants

open access: yes, 2007
We give formulae for the Ozsvath-Szabo invariants of 4-manifolds X obtained by fiber sum of two manifolds M_1, M_2 along surfaces S_1, S_2 having trivial normal bundle and genus g>0.

When are two Dedekind sums equal?

open access: yes, 2011
A natural question about Dedekind sums is to find conditions on the integers $a_1, a_2$, and $b$ such that $s(a_1,b) = s(a_2, b)$. We prove that if the former equality holds then $ b \ | \ (a_1a_2-1)(a_1-a_2)$.

On the algebraic unknotting number

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 1, Issue 1, Page 57-84, 2014., 2014
The algebraic unknotting number ua(K) of a knot K was introduced by Hitoshi Murakami. It equals the minimal number of crossing changes needed to turn K into an Alexander polynomial one knot. In a previous paper, the authors used the Blanchfield form of a knot K to define an invariant n(K) and proved that n(K)⩽ua(K).
