Symmetric Three-Term Recurrence Equations and Their Symplectic Structure
We revive the study of the symmetric three-term recurrence equations. Our main result shows that these equations have a natural symplectic structure, that is, every symmetric three-term recurrence equation is a special discrete symplectic system.

ABSTRACT Stochastic Galerkin methods offer unexplored potential for the numerical simulation of parabolic problems with random variables, in particular if they are combined with variational discretizations of the space and time variables. Due to the high dimensionality, the solution of the arising algebraic systems do not become feasible without ...

The covariant Hamilton–Jacobi formulation of electrodynamics is systematically derived from the first-order (Palatini-like) Lagrangian. This derivation utilizes the De Donder–Weyl covariant Hamiltonian formalism with constraints incroporating generalized

Small versus large scale soybean production systems' footprints. ABSTRACT Soybean is increasingly grown in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), produced mainly in small‐scale systems and supplied locally for human consumption. Prospects of large‐scale expansion and intensification, with potential environmental drawbacks, loom and call for a ...

Rational points on even‐dimensional Fermat cubics
Abstract We show that even‐dimensional Fermat cubic hypersurfaces are rational over any field of characteristic not equal to three, by constructing explicit rational parameterizations with polynomials of low degree. As a byproduct of our rationality constructions, we obtain estimates for the number of their rational points over a number field and ...

ABSTRACT Early childhood represents a unique window for language learning. Previous research has established reliable links between parental speech and the pace of children's language development; however, much less is known about children's naturalistic experiences in early education centers.

Extreme Atmospheric Moistening and Drying Events at Ny‐Ålesund and Their Relation to Weather Systems
Abstract Understanding the role of water vapor in Arctic amplification requires a detailed evaluation of its spatio‐temporal variability. In this work, we use an integrated water vapor (IWV) data set from a ground‐based microwave radiometer at Ny‐Ålesund, Svalbard, covering 2012–2024, to characterize temporal IWV variability.

Fractional Nikiforov‐Uvarov Formalism for Dunkl‐Schrödinger Equation With Deng‐Fan Molecular Model
The effect of Dunkl deformation parameters on energy eigenvalues of Deng‐Fan potential (DFP) is evaluated using conformable fractional Nikiforov‐Uvarov method. Our results show that energy eigenvalues of DFP for selected diatomic molecules are significantly influenced by the Dunkl deformation parameter, fractional parameter, kinetic pre‐factor and ...
