Edge‐Length Preserving Embeddings of Graphs Between Normed Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The concept of graph embeddability, initially formalized by Belk and Connelly and later expanded by Sitharam and Willoughby, extends the question of embedding finite metric spaces into a given normed space. A finite simple graph G = ( V , E ) $G=(V,E)$ is said to be ( X , Y ) $(X,Y)$‐embeddable if any set of induced edge lengths from an ...

Extending the hyper‐logistic model to the random setting: New theoretical results with real‐world applications

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
We develop a full randomization of the classical hyper‐logistic growth model by obtaining closed‐form expressions for relevant quantities of interest, such as the first probability density function of its solution, the time until a given fixed population is reached, and the population at the inflection point.

Hubcap and ignition switch designs - case studies in Independence Axiom

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Independence Axiom offers designers a guide to good design. It declares that the design parameters (DPs) conceived for a good design must maintain the independence of the design functional requirements (FRs).

Image Based Visual Servoing: Estimated Image Jacobian by Using Fundamental Matrix VS Analytic Jacobian [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper describes a comparative study of performance between the estimated image Jacobian that come from taking into account the geometry epipolar of a system of two cameras, and the well known analytic image Jacobian that is utilized for most applications in visual servoing. Image Based Visual Servoing architecture is used for controlling a 3 d.o.f.

Shape Derivatives of the Eigenvalues of the De Rham Complex for Lipschitz Deformations and Variable Coefficients: Part I

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study eigenvalue problems for the de Rham complex on varying three‐dimensional domains. Our analysis includes the Helmholtz equation as well as the Maxwell system with mixed boundary conditions and non‐constant coefficients. We provide Hadamard‐type formulas for the shape derivatives under weak regularity assumptions on the domain and its ...

Inserting the equivalent reactance parameter of the thyristor controlled series compensator into the Jacobian matrix as control variable

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2013
Thyristor-controlled series compensator (TCSC) is one of the FACTS devices that changes the equivalent impedance value of the transmission line in energy transmission systems by series connecting to the line.

A unified view on bipartite species-reaction and interaction graphs for chemical reaction networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The Jacobian matrix of a dynamic system and its principal minors play a prominent role in the study of qualitative dynamics and bifurcation analysis.

Analytical and Numerical Soliton Solutions of the Shynaray II‐A Equation Using the G′G,1G$$ \left(\frac{G^{\prime }}{G},\frac{1}{G}\right) $$‐Expansion Method and Regularization‐Based Neural Networks

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nonlinear differential equations play a fundamental role in modeling complex physical phenomena across solid‐state physics, hydrodynamics, plasma physics, nonlinear optics, and biological systems. This study focuses on the Shynaray II‐A equation, a relatively less‐explored parametric nonlinear partial differential equation that describes ...

A Novel Optimized Local Linearization Hybrid Block Method for Chaotic Systems: Applications to Stretch‐Twist‐Fold Flow and Bond Orbital Chaotic Attractors

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The numerical approximation of nonlinear chaotic differential systems, such as the modified stretch‐twist‐fold (STF) flow and multi‐bond chaotic attractors, presents a significant challenge due to their sensitive dependence on initial conditions and complex dynamics where analytical solutions are unattainable.
