Circadian organization in japanese quail

AbstractOur recent studies have implicated both the eyes and pinealas major components of the circadian system of Japanese quail. We assessed the role of these organs by examining the effect fo their removal on the circadian activity rhythm of quail exposed to either 24 hr light‐dark (LD) cycles or to continuous darkness (DD).

Le répertoire des vocalisation chez la caille des blés (Coturnix coturnix coturnix) a été établi grâce à l'étude précise des émission vocales d'individus des 2 sexes au cours des principales étapes de leur cycle biologique. Classées selon 4 grandes tendance présidant à leur émission, 24 vocalisations différentes ont été décrites.
