A Study into the Effect of Jasmonic and Humic Acids on Some Germination Characteristics of Rosselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) Seed under Salinity Stress

open access: yesپژوهش‌های بذر ایران, 2017
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of jasmonic and humic acids on some seed germination characteristics of Roselle under the salt stress condition in a factorial experiment, adopting a completely randomized design with three ...

Effect of Exogenous Application of Jasmonic Acid on Date Palm Defense Reaction against Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. albedinis

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2004
The effect of jasmonic acid in the date palm defence reaction against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. albedinis was investigated taking into account changes in H2O2 and malonyldialdehyde (MDA) levels and peroxidase activity.

Single‐Cell Transcriptomics Reveals FLS2‐Dependent Hypoxia Signaling and ERF13‐Mediated Transcription During flg22‐Triggered Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs sc‐RNA sequencing, genetics, and phenotyping to systematically map the cell‐type‐specific immune responses triggered by flg22. It reveals FLS2‐dependent transcriptional reprogramming in epidermal and mesophyll cells, and uncovers crosstalk between immune and hypoxia signaling pathways.

Gliding Arc Plasma Treatment of Maize (Zea mays L.) Grains Promotes Seed Germination and Early Growth, Affecting Hormone Pools, but Not Significantly Photosynthetic Parameters

open access: yesAgronomy, 2021
Maize grains (Zea mays convar. Indentata Sturt.) were treated with non-thermal plasma, where Gliding Arc plasma discharge at an atmospheric pressure was used (working gas: Air; time duration: 0 s, 180 s, 300 s, 600 s).

The Maize ZmbHLH118 Transcription Factor Regulates Vacuolar Nitrate Loading by the NO3− Transporter ZmCLCa

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In maize, the bHLH transcription factor ZmbHLH118 directly binds to the promoter of ZmCLCa and inhibits its expression. Tonoplast‐localized ZmCLCa mediates NO3− influx into the vacuole to regulate intracellular NO3− homeostasis, modulating nitrate uptake and metabolism, plant growth, and grain yield.

Metarhizium anisopliae Mitigates the Phytotoxicity of Lead and Nanoplastics on Rice by Modifying Physiological, Transcriptomic, Metabolomic Activities, and Soil Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metarhizium anisopliae alleviates the phytotoxic effects of polyethylene nanoplastics (NP) and lead (Pb) in rice by decreasing Pb uptake, restoring antioxidant and hormonal equilibrium, and promoting growth. Additionally, the fungus modifies the rhizosphere microbiota, enhancing both contaminant tolerance and plant growth, thereby effectively ...

A Novel GmSIN1‐GmRNF1a‐GmCSN5a Module Determines Soybean Salt Tolerance and Yield Under Saline Soil Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean production is severely threatened by salt stress. This study reveals that the GmSIN1‐GmRNF1a‐GmCSN5a module enhances salt tolerance by stabilizing the GmSIN1 protein. GmRNF1a acts as an E3 ligase to ubiquitinate GmSIN1 for degradation, a process inhibited by GmCSN5a.

The influence of jasmonic acid on the amount and the distribution of cysteine proteinase PLCP-2 in healthy and PVYNTN infected potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L.)

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2002
The localization of cysteine proteinase PLCP-2 was investigated in potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivar Désirée by electron microscopy. Healthy and PVYNTN infected potato plants were grown in vitro on media with or without a supplement of ...

A CLE11b‐CLE16 Signaling Relay Mediates Root‐Shoot‐Root Crosstalk for Drought Adaptation in Common Bean

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel root‐shoot‐root signaling relay, mediated by CLE peptides, coordinates drought adaptation in common bean. Root‐derived PvCLE11b translocates acropetally to leaves, inducing PvCLE16 expression via PvTCP10. Leaf‐accumulated PvCLE16 triggers stomatal closure and translocates basipetally to modulate root architecture.

Sugar Accumulation and its Regulation by Jasmonic Acid in Brassica napus L. under Salt Stress [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stress Physiology & Biochemistry, 2013
The effects of Jasmonic acid (JA) on sugar accumulation and protein content in 12-days old Brassica napus L. seedlings were studied. The seeds pre-treated with different concentrations of jasmonic acid were germinated in Petriplates supplied with various
