Traditional detoxification of Jatropha curcas L. seeds
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2019Jatropha curcas L. is a plant with high cultural significance for quilombola communities of Oriximiná (Pará State, Brazil). Although the plant is highly toxic, its seeds are used in these communities to treat tuberculosis and related diseases and symptoms. This study was designed to provide a scientific rationale for the traditional detoxification ...

RNAi Mediated curcin precursor gene silencing in Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.)
Molecular Biology Reports, 2014Curcin, a type I ribosomal inhibiting protein-RIP, encoded by curcin precursor gene, is a phytotoxin present in Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.). Here, we report designing of RNAi construct for the curcin precursor gene and further its genetic transformation of Jatropha to reduce its transcript expression.

COMPUTATION STUDY OF JATROPHA CURCAS L. LEAVES
EPICENTRUM, 2022Fever is a condition when the body temperature increases to more than 380C. Fever indicates the presence of a disease or other condition in the body. Fever generally occurs as a reaction of the immune system to fight viral, bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infections that cause disease.

Moisture-dependent physical properties of jatropha seed (Jatropha curcas L.)
Industrial Crops and Products, 2008Abstract The study was conducted to investigate some moisture-dependent physical properties of jatropha seed namely, seed dimension, 1000 seed mass, surface area, sphericity, bulk density, true density, angle of repose and static coefficient of friction against different materials. The physical properties of jatropha seed were evaluated as a function

Genome Structure of Jatropha curcas L.
2012The recent progress in DNA sequencing technology has allowed us to acquire information on the structures of whole genomes of various agronomically important plants in a relatively short period of time. In order to understand the genetic systems carried by Jatropha curcas and to accelerate the process of molecular breeding, comprehensive analyses of ...

Semi-Mechanical Harvesting of Jatropha (Jatropha Curcas L.) in Morocco
2016Harvesting of Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) is a challenging issue owing to the presence of ripe and unripe fruits on the same bunch. Although widely diffused, the manual collection is labor-demanding. Several machines for fully mechanized harvesting are available, but their sustainability is debatable.

Transcriptomic View of Jatropha curcas L. Inflorescence
2019The inflorescence is an important component for the reproductive success in plants. At the onset of vegetative to reproductive tissue transition, a series of biological processes which affect the yield component of a plant take place within the inflorescence: shoot apical meristem to inflorescence meristem transition, floral commitment and flowering ...
