Primary Liposarcoma of the Jejunum
Pathology - Research and Practice, 1990The rare case of a primary liposarcoma of the jejunum in a 52-year-old man is described. The main tumor mass was located within the submucosa and caused chronic subileus by subtotal obstruction of the jejunum. The histology showed a mixed type liposarcoma.

Submucosal tumors are rare endoscopic findings and their diagnostic and therapeutic management is a subject of debate [1]. Neoplastic disease in the gut accounts for 0.4% of all digestive malignancies and is mainly represented by carcinoid tumors [2]. Benign diseases are even rarer and their treatment is largely unexplored.
