Stability of an alternative Jensen's functional equation [PDF]
We prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of an alternative Jensen's functional equation(f(x)+f(y))=2 = f((x+ y)=2) in the class of mappings from 2-divisible abelian groups to Banach spaces.

ABSTRACT There is strong evidence that design for remanufacturing (DfRem) can reduce initial‐design carbon emissions by up to 30%, and that product design can critically affect remanufacturing feasibility, yet academic adoption of DfRem remains limited.

Demand Uncertainty and the Regulated Firm [PDF]
Demand uncertainty is an important element of many regulated markets. Firms often must select plant size before actual demand is observed, and with some expectation of regulatory action if the actual levels of profit or rate of return do not fall within ...

Stability of a Jensen type functional equation
The authors solve the following Jensen type functional equation \[ mf\left(\frac{x+y+z}{m}\right)+f(x)+f(y)+f(z)= n \left[ f\left(\frac{x+y}{n}\right) + f\left(\frac{y+z}{n}\right) + f\left(\frac{z+x}{n}\right)\right], \] where \(m\) and \(n\) are nonnegative integers with \((m,n)\neq (1,1)\).

ESG Performance, Debt Financing, and R&D Output: Evidence From the Healthcare Sector
ABSTRACT Amid growing calls for sustainability in the healthcare sector, this study examines how and under what conditions environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance influences research and development (R&D) output. Although existing studies suggest that ESG performance enhances R&D output, the financial mechanisms that enable or constrain

ESG Assurance and Dividends: Evidence From 18 Countries in Africa
ABSTRACT This study examines the impact of environmental, social and governance (ESG) assurance on a firm's dividend payout policies within the unique African context. Using a staggered difference‐in‐differences (DiD) model, this study examines how voluntary third‐party assurance of ESG reports influences firms' dividend payout policies compared to ...

Laws of Large Numbers for Dependent Non-Identically Distributed Random Variables [PDF]
This paper provides L` and weak laws of large numbers for uniformly integrable L1-mixingales. The L1-mixingale condition is a condition of asymptotic weak temporal dependence that is weaker than most conditions considered in the literature.

Stability of Jensen functional equation on semigroups
A real function \(f\) defined on a semigroup \(S\) is Jensen if it satisfies the functional equation \(f(xyz)+f(xzy)+2f(x)-2f(xy)-2f(xz)=0\). In this paper, the authors investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of the above equation and prove that each semigroup can be embedded into a semigroup such that the equation above is stable.

ABSTRACT This study examines the role of managerial ability in driving environmental performance and overall environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ratings in the context of the European Union sustainability reporting regulations. Using a sample of 7242 firm‐year observations over the period 2015–2023, our results indicate a structural change in ...
