On Measuring the Complexity of Urban Living [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper explores the concept of city ranking as a way to measure dynamics and complexities of urban life. These rankings have various dimensions and uses.

FORCE AND ASPIRATION: Mobility and Class Formation on the Peripheries of Addis Ababa

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Volume 50, Issue 1, Page 114-132, January 2026.
Abstract While the emergence of social class is usually associated with relations of production or patterns of consumption, this article argues for centring mobility in class analysis, especially within rapidly growing cities. It focuses on the peripheries of Addis Ababa, where Africa’s most remarkable state‐led housing programme has produced wrenching

Generalized Niezgoda's Inequality with Refinements and Applications [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis
Motivated by the results of Niezgoda, corresponding to the generalization of Mercer's inequality for positive weights, in this paper, we consider real weights, for which we establish related results.

Tight Bounds for Symmetric Divergence Measures and a New Inequality Relating $f$-Divergences

open access: yes, 2015
Tight bounds for several symmetric divergence measures are introduced, given in terms of the total variation distance. Each of these bounds is attained by a pair of 2 or 3-element probability distributions.

Dynamically Consistent Analysis of Realized Covariations in Term Structure Models

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 203-236, January 2026.
ABSTRACT In this article, we show how to analyze the covariation of bond prices nonparametrically and robustly, staying consistent with a general no‐arbitrage setting. This is, in particular, motivated by the problem of identifying the number of statistically relevant factors in the bond market under minimal conditions.

Better Approximation of Integral Form of Midpoint Formula Using p‐Convex Function via Katugampola Fractional Integrals

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this article, new estimations of the integral form of the midpoint formula are derived for p‐convex functions via Katugampola fractional integrals. A specific identity for differentiable functions is established, which extends and strengthens the integral midpoint inequality through innovative estimations.

A Theory of Natural Addiction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Economic theories of rational addiction aim to describe consumer behavior in the presence of habit-forming goods. We provide a biological foundation for this body of work by formally specifying conditions under which it is optimal to form a habit.

Green’s Function Approach to Hermite–Hadamard–Mercer Type Fractional Inequalities and Applications

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The Hermite–Hadamard–Mercer (HHM) inequality, existing in two well‐established forms, plays a fundamental role in mathematical analysis. This inequality is characterized by three distinct components—namely, the left, middle, and right terms. This study is concerned to obtain novel generalized and refined HHM fractional inequalities by employing for the

Determinants of neonatal mortality in rural India, 2007-2008. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background. Despite the growing share of neonatal mortality in under-5 mortality in the recent decades in India, most studies have focused on infant and child mortality putting neonatal mortality on the back seat.
