The specifics of physical training of male students to pass the Ready for Labor and Defense Standard in the section “kettlebell jerk” in educational institutions of higher education [PDF]

open access: yesФизическое воспитание и студенческий спорт
Physical fitness is an important component of the lives of students, especially men, and plays a key role in achieving academic success and beyond. Within the framework of higher educational institutions, special attention is paid to passing the Ready ...

Development and Retrospective Application of Novel Outcome Measure: Sturge–Weber Syndrome Acute Crisis (SWAC) Index

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sturge–Weber syndrome (SWS) symptoms frequently overlap in neurological acute crises (ACs) presenting with seizures, stroke‐like episodes (SLE), and headaches. Recent efforts to develop a prospective drug trial highlighted the need for a new outcome measure capable of quantifying these symptoms during an SWS AC.

A new modified WINDMI jerk system with exponential and sinusoidal nonlinearities, its bifurcation analysis, multistability, circuit simulation and synchronization design [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Control Sciences
In this work, a new 3-D modified WINDMI chaotic jerk system with exponential and sinusoidal nonlinearities is presented and its dynamical behaviours and properties are investigated.

Acoustic‐driven surface cleaning with millimeter‐sized bubbles at translational resonance

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Time‐lapse visualization comparing bubble trajectories. The top panel (0 Hz) shows a bubble's linear path under no acoustic forcing, while the bottom panel (50 Hz) demonstrates the oscillatory motion induced by acoustic waves at a resonance mode. This mechanism holds promising potential for applications such as surface cleaning.

Fhod3 in zebrafish supports myofibril stability during growth of embryonic skeletal muscle

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Actin filament organization in cardiomyocytes critically depends on the formin Fhod3, but a role for Fhod3 in skeletal muscle development has not yet been described. Results We demonstrate here that in zebrafish mutated for one of two fhod3 paralog genes, fhod3a, skeletal muscle of the trunk appears normal through 2 days post ...

Digital Rights Activism in Multilevel Governance

open access: yesEuropean Policy Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multilevel governance (MLG) without a clear hierarchical structure can create power imbalances among various actors, particularly in settings with overlapping jurisdictions and policy areas. This dynamic is especially pronounced in Internet governance, which faces a complex interplay of domestic laws, state interdependence, and heightened ...

Are current microscopic traffic models capable of generating jerk profile consistent with real world observations?

open access: yesInternational Journal of Transportation Science and Technology
Microscopic behavior modeling plays a critical role in traffic flow analyais, simulation, and autonomous vehicle algorithm development. Numerous efforts are devoted to the development of it in both longitudinal and lateral dimensions.

Independent Confirmation of the Pioneer 10 Anomalous Acceleration

open access: yes, 2002
I perform an independent analysis of radio Doppler tracking data from the Pioneer 10 spacecraft for the time period 1987-1994. All of the tracking data were taken from public archive sources, and the analysis tools were developed independently by myself.

Self‐limited neonatal epilepsy with 2q24.3 duplications: Case series and literature review

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To clarify the phenotypic spectrum associated with duplications involving the 2q24.3 region, which includes a cluster of genes encoding sodium channel subunits (SCN1A, SCN2A, SCN3A, SCN7A, and SCN9A). Methods We reviewed our research database for patients with epilepsy and 2q24.3 duplication and performed thorough phenotyping.

Ictal semiology in fronto‐opercular epilepsy: A systematic review

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract A systematic review of the ictal semiology of fronto‐opercular seizures in focal epilepsy was carried out to assess possible anatomical‐clinical correlations and help guide interpretation of ictal semiology during pre‐surgical evaluation. PubMed and Embase databases were searched using the following keywords: “fronto‐opercular OR frontal ...
