Squamous-cell carcinoma of the pharyngeal cavity was diagnosed in a 3-year-old Jersey black giant male chicken. Grossly, the carcinoma was round with irregular edges, yellow-tan, cauliflower-like with a crusty surface, and attached to the roof and sides of the pharyngeal cavity.

Cold acclimation of two Asparagus Officinalis L. cultivars 'guelph millennium' and 'jersey giant' under field and controlled conditions

Adequate winter hardiness is critical for persistence and yield of ' Asparagus officinalis' L. cultivars in Southern Ontario, Canada, and may be influenced by fall senescence. Cultivar 'Guelph Millennium' (GM) turns yellow by mid-October prior to 'Jersey Giant' (JG), which will often 'freeze green'.
