Bioethanol Production from Jerusalem Artichoke Stalks
2010In this work ethanol production from soluble and structural carbohydrates present in the stalks of Jerusalem artichoke was tested. The soluble sugars were extracted with water in a column system at 60ºC, solidliquid ratio (1/3) and residence time of 20 minutes. In these conditions an extraction efficiency of 74% was obtained, corresponding to 91,7 g/L
