Effects of magnetic field on micro cross jet injection of dispersed nanoparticles in a microchannel

International journal of numerical methods for heat & fluid flow, 2019
Purpose Water/Al2O3 nanofluid with volume fractions of 0, 0.3 and 0.06 was investigated inside a rectangular microchannel. Jet injection of nanofluid was used to enhance the heat transfer under a homogeneous magnetic field with the strengths of Ha = 0 ...

Fluid jet polishing of steel moulds

SPIE Proceedings, 2016
Fluid Jet Polishing (FJP) is a novel polishing technology, which experienced growing interest for niche applications over the recent years. This publication suggests FJP for processing of steel moulds for plastic injection moulding. These moulds are typically finished manually by skilled experts to date.

Effects of fluid properties and laser fluence on jet formation during laser direct writing of glycerol solution

, 2012
Laser-induced forward transfer (LIFT) has been widely studied to print various structures. It is important to investigate the jet and droplet formation process under different LIFT operating conditions. The resulting knowledge will help to better control

Influence of fluid physical properties on ink-jet printability.

Langmuir, 2009
Ink-jet printing is a method for directly patterning and fabricating patterns without the need for masks. To achieve this, the fluids used as inks must have the capability of being stably and accurately printed by ink-jetting.

Jet with variable fluid properties: Free jet and dissipative jet

International Journal of Non-Linear Mechanics, 2016
Abstract An analysis of the laminar jet of an incompressible Newtonian fluid emerging from a narrow slot or a circular hole, where the physical properties like viscosity and thermal conductivity depends upon the temperature, is given. Both the cases: the case of In the absence of viscous heat dissipation and the case of In the presence of viscous ...

Compressible fluid jets

Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, 1975
A one dimensional theory of compressible inviscid fluid jets is established using a direct Cosserat type theory in contrast to procedures in which one dimensional equations are obtained by approximations of those used for a three dimensional theory. Applications are made to straight jets and circular rings.

The Influence of Fluid Viscosity of Fluid Jetting Dispensing

High Density Design Packaging and Microsystem Integration, 2007 International Symposium on, 2007
Fluid viscosity is a very important factor for fluid dispensing, and it has important effect on the volume and velocity of the fluid that jetting from the nozzle outlet. This paper analyses the force that the fluid gives to needle both with low and high viscosity situation and establishes formulas.

Properties of a sweeping jet emitted from a fluidic oscillator

Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 2018
This experimental study investigates the flow field and properties of a sweeping jet emitted from a fluidic oscillator into a quiescent environment. The aspect ratio of the outlet throat is 1.

Estimation of lateral displacement induced by jet grouting in clayey soils

, 2017
The installation of jet-grouted columns in soft ground can induce lateral displacement resulting from injection of a great amount of water and grout into the ground, which may then lead on to further significant effects.
