DETERMINATION OF THE SURFACE DENSITY OF POLARIZATION CHARGE OF THE MAGNETIC FLUID JET IN UNIFORM ELECTRIC FIELD

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
The article is dedicated to an actual problem of the study of the behavior of the magnetic fluid jet in electrical and magnetic fields. A new method of calculation of value of density of the surface charge formed on the magnetic fluid jet surface is ...

Nuclear modification of jet shape for inclusive jets and $γ$-jets at the LHC energies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
With our coupled jet-fluid model, we study the nuclear modifications of full jets and jet structures for single inclusive jets and $\gamma$-jets in Pb+Pb collisions at $5.02$~ATeV and $2.76$~ATeV. The in-medium evolution of full jet shower is described by a set of coupled transport equations including the effects of collisional energy loss, transverse ...

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Secondary jets from high viscosity complex fluid [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
The behaviour of a high viscosity complex fluid upon impact with a dry solid surface has been studied. Video-based studies show the appearance of secondary jets for large impact velocities.

Primary Atomization of a Liquid Jet in Crossflow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this fluid dynamics video, we present a visualization of the primary atomization of a turbulent liquid jet injected into a turbulent gaseous crossflow. It is based on a detailed numerical simulation of the primary atomization region of the jet using a finite volume, balanced force, incompressible LES/DNS flow solver coupled to a Refined Level Set ...

Flow Physics and Frequency Scaling of Sweeping Jet Fluidic Oscillators

open access: yesAIAA Journal, 2018
Incompressible flow simulations are employed to investigate the internal fluid dynamics of a sweeping jet fluidic oscillator with a focus on the mechanisms and scaling laws that underpin the jet os...

Multidirectionally Patterned Interdigital Transducers for Enhancing Acoustofluidic Streaming with Flexible Printed Circuit Board

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable and multidirectional interdigital transducer (M‐IDT) on a flexible printed circuit board provides a practical platform for acoustofluidic research. It simplifies and accelerates prototyping, enabling cost‐effective exploration of wave modes and fluid dynamics.

When Viscous Jets Collide; Liquid Chains, Threads, Webs, Fishbones and Balloons [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
In this fluid dynamics video prepared for the APS-DFD Gallery of Fluid Motion we study the collision of two identical viscous jets at different jet speeds and collision eccentricities. The dynamics of the jet motion are slowed down by orders of magnitude using a synchronized strobe effect coupled with precise timing control of the perturbation ...

Emission of Low Momentum Particles at Large Angles from Jet [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study dynamics of a QGP fluid induced by energetic partons propagating through it. We construct a (3+1)-dimensional QGP-fluid+Jet model. When a jet traverses a uniform fluid, it induces a Mach cone structure of energy density distribution and a vortex ring surrounding a path of the jet. When a pair of jets travels through a radially expanding fluid,
